Skiing in Austria’s sportiest ski area: the Silvretta Montafon
Located right on our doorstep, the Garfreschabahn gondola whisks skiers straight up into the Montafon’s largest ski area: the Silvretta Montafon. The Grasjochbahn and Hochalpila lifts then bring you to the ski area’s highest point, the Kreuzjoch saddle on the Hochjoch. Here, at the very top of Austria’s sportiest ski area, the sun starts to shine very early in the day.
Skiing here in one of Vorarlberg’s largest ski areas, and one of the ten largest in Austria, you can enjoy 140 kilometres of top-quality ski runs. With a choice of 7 lifts and cable cars from the valley feeding the amalgamated Silvretta Montafon ski area, and a carrying capacity of over 11,000 persons per hour, lengthy queues and waiting times are a thing of the past. You can also look forward to visiting 10 mountain restaurants seating 9,000 people, as well as unique spots such as the Nova Exclusiv, the Hochjoch Totale or the Montafon Totale.
Nighttime tobogganing from the Garfrescha takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The lifts run up to 21.30 and tobogganing continues until 24.00.
