Trailpark Hochjoch
1 trail park, 3 lines
The three trails, which are located at an altitude of 1,850 metres and stretch over almost seven kilometres, offer fun for the whole family! Safety is the top priority - so wearing a helmet is mandatory. The lines: Hubertus Trail (easy), Kilka Wald Trail (medium) & Wolfsgruaba Trail (medium)

Kids bikes in the Montafon
At Interport Silvretta Montafon you will find bikes in various children's sizes. We recommend the Silvretta Park location (2 km away) or Schruns centre. As a Vermala guest, you receive a 10% discount on hire items when you book online.

Our hire shop has 14 great e-bikes - waiting for your excursion into the Montafon mountains. A bike lock and the e-bike card are available at reception. Subject to availability:

Tip: Ski & Bike - Take advantage of our hotel's spring e-bike package and plan your winter holiday with a difference. E-mountain biking combined with skiing. Evening tour
Grab one of our e-bikes and head towards the Garfreschabahn valley station. Cross the river Ill just after the cable car. Now follow the tarmac road to the Garfreschabahn mountain station. Now you are already in the centre of the Maisäs village of Garfrescha at 1500 m. It's best to stop at the Brunellawirt for a drink, sit in the meadow and enjoy the sunset!

Albona head in the rear Valscheviel valley

Day tour
Take the e-bike on the cycle path to Gaschurn and turn off into the Valscheviel valley just after the mountain stream. Past the Maisäß and Alpe Valscheviel to Mardusa. Lock the bike there and follow the hiking trail to the Kessisee (signpost towards Heilbronner Hütte). The Kessisee with a view of the Valschevieler Maderer is one of the most beautiful spots in the Montafon. Turn left up to the Gaschurner Winterjöchle and on to the Valschevieler Joch. Now a few metres without a path to the summit cross of the Albona Kopf. Back to the bike from Valschevieler Joch turn left via Rossberg or as ascent.

Tobelsee - the photo spot of the valley

Day tour
By e-bike on the cycle path to Tschagguns and on to Grabs. Past the lower and upper Alpila Alpe until the path ends. There we lock the bike and walk gently uphill to the Tobelsee lake. One of the most beautiful photo opportunities in the Montafon - when, with a bit of luck, the Three Towers are reflected in it. If that's not enough, you can hike on to the Schwarzhornsattel at 2150 metres and the Tilisuna Hut at 2200 metres. Be sure to take a dip in the mountain lake! Please note that the ascent from Tschagguns back to the hotel takes a little more than 1 bar of the battery indicator. Charging facilities at Berggasthof Grabs.

Lake Gretscher in the Wasserstuben valley

Day tour
With the e-bike into the Silbertal. Past the Fellimännle and Hasahüsli inns along the wild Litz into the Wasserstuben valley. There, after the Straken Eck, the path branches off to the Gretschalpe just before the lower Wasserstubenalpe. Lock the e-bike there at 1800 m and continue to the finish point at Gretscher See 1960 m. If you still have energy left, continue to the beautiful summit of the Fellimännle at 2209 m with magnificent views of the front and rear Silbertal. A stop at the lower Wasserstubenalpe is well worthwhile.
Please note that the ascent from Schruns back to the hotel requires a little more than 1 bar of the battery indicator. Charging options at the Fellimännle mountain hut and Hasahüsli mountain inn.

our local mountain Grappes Kopf

Half-day tour
We start right at the house with the e-bike in the direction of Maisäß Montiel, continue to Maisäß Sasarscha and then to the end of the forest road below the Grappes Kopf at 1800 metres. There we lock up our e-bike and walk in large serpentines in the young forest, which was reforested a few years ago, between the avalanche barriers to the summit cross of the Grappes at 2205 metres. What a marvellous panoramic view of the Silvretta group to the south, the Rätikon to the west and one of the most beautiful views of the Valschevieler Maderer to the east! Can also be done as a nice afternoon tour.

Tübinger Hut in the Ganera Valley

Day tour
Start with the e-bike at the hotel and take the cycle path to Gaschurn. Before the Versettlabahn valley station, turn off in the direction of Gaschurner Berg, past the Lammhütta to the Rehsee - Versettlabahn middle station. Continue to Maisäß Lifinar and after a few metres downhill you will arrive at Ganeu in the secluded Garneratal valley. Now head into the valley to the end of the road, arriving at the valley station of the material cable car, you walk 230 metres uphill to the Tübinger Hütte. Return the same way. (The road from Ganeu to Gaschurn is also possible, but very steep). Lonely tour in the wild and romantic Garneratal valley.

Scheimersspitz

Day tour
Start at the hotel, take the e-bike in the direction of the St. Gallenkirch village crossroads. Turn right, uphill, past the Maisäß Tanafreida and on to the Grasjoch 1960 m. We lock our bike on the Grasjoch. Now there are 2 options: 1. around the Scheimers via the Alpe Gues - lower and upper Alp Gues lake - Rossbergjoch and up to the summit. Or 2. we take the direct route via a short section of the Wormser Höhenweg to the summit. Both are very rewarding, but the 1st option is much further.

Lindauer Hütte in the Gauertal

Day tour
You start at the hotel on the Ill cycle path out of the valley to Tschagguns & on to Latschau (tarmac). At the Latschau reservoir, continue left on a Schoder path through the wild and romantic Gauertal valley to the sun terrace of the Lindauer Hütte. This is located in a stunning setting right at the foot of the Three Towers and is one of the most popular mountain huts in the valley. If you continue for another 2 minutes, you will reach the beautifully situated upper Spora Alpe. Also accessible for energy-saving e-bikers. Please note that the ascent back down (Tschagguns to the hotel) requires a little more than 1 bar of the battery indicator. Very rewarding tour!

Davenna Spitz

Challenging day tour
You start at the hotel and cycle along the Ill cycle path to Schruns and on to the church in Bartholomäberg. Continue to the Rellseck. Follow the signposts to Alplegi and once you reach 1800 metres, you have a view of the Klostertal valley. In the background are the peaks of the Arlberg. Now continue 20 metres below the Alplegi to the left on the hiking trail in approx. 1 hour on foot towards Spitzguaf and the Davanna Spitz (climbing the Zwölferkopf is not recommended). Return on the same path. The Alpe Latons and the Gasthof Rellseck invite you to stop for refreshments. Charging facilities at the Hotel Bergerhof (Bartholomäberg church). Please note that the ascent from Tschagguns back to the hotel takes a little more than 1 bar of the battery indicator

In the Hochjochbahn cable car in Schruns, you can bring your bikes with you on the gondola ride. Really great, because your starting point is 1500 metres above sea level at the Hochjoch mountain station. I wonder how far you'll get there?
Heilbronn hut

Rewarding day tour
Start at the hotel and take the Ill cycle path to Patenen as far as the Silvretta High Alpine Road toll booth (free for bikers - simply cycle through). At hairpin bend 2, turn off into the Ganifer Valley (from here it is car-free - no cars allowed). Follow the tarmac road, past the Alpe Ganifer and with a view of the Kops reservoir wall, in the direction of the Kops reservoir. Shortly below the Kops reservoir (1750 m), a gravel road branches off to the left to the Verbella Alpe 1940 m. Fresh buttermilk is recommended here. The Heilbronner Hütte is another 370 metres uphill & 4.5 km from Verbella Alpe. The tour is feasible for energy-saving e-bikers. Charging is possible during the alpine season at the Verbella Alpe and at the Heilbronner Hütte. Return route possible with virtually no electricity.

Mountain inn Matschwitz

Day tour
You start at the hotel on the Ill cycle path out of the valley to Tschagguns and continue on Latschau (tarmac) to the Golmerbahn cable car. Before the Golmerbahn car park, turn left towards Gauertal and before Gasthof Montabella turn off towards Golm + Matschwitz. The path leads through woods and clearings to the beautiful Maisäß settlement of Matschwitz. The sun terrace of the Matschwitz inn tempts you with good food and a marvellous view of the valley basin of the outer Montafon. Accessible for energy-saving e-bikers. Charging facilities at the Berggasthof Matschwitz. Please note that the ascent from Tschagguns back to the hotel requires a little more than 1 bar of the battery indicator.

Lake Ganda in Gargellen

Half-day tour
You start at the hotel on the Ill cycle path out of the valley to the district of Galgenul and branch off on the road to Gargellen. Once in Gargellen, continue to the end of the Gargellen cable car car park. After the Valzivenzerbach bridge, a Schoder road branches off and leads past the Kalkofen cultural estate to the Obwaldhütte (not the Landal turn-off). If you wish, you can continue to the mountain station of the Schafberg cable car or leave your bike behind the Obwaldhütte at 1860 metres above sea level. Now it's just 140 metres/25 minutes on foot to the crystal-clear Lake Ganda at the foot of the Madrisa. One of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the valley! Mountain lake bathing allowed!

Respect your boundaries and protect nature
Attention bike bans - thanks to our wildlife in the valley
Driving in the following areas is not permitted during the specified periods. Regular checks are carried out during this time.
- Hinteres Silbertal: (Verwall Natura 2000 area) from the Fellimännle alpine hut to the Silbertaler Winterjöchle 16 September to 14 June - time restrictions (recommendations) - you are requested to refrain from driving in the aforementioned period.
- Bartholomäberg: Due to the urgent need to hunt red deer, you are requested not to enter the Bartholomäberg area from Rellseck, Fritzensee and Fulateia from 10 October (in autumn) from 17:00 to 08:00 in the morning!
- Gaschurn - Silvretta-Bielerhöhe, Silvrettasee: Driving on the lake shore of the Silvrettasee is only permitted on the eastern shore (driving is also prohibited on the dam path - the road leads past below the dam) up to the entrance to Klostertal. Driving from the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe to the Wiesbadener Hütte / Klostertaler Umwelthütte is restricted from 10:00 to 15:00 (recommended). During this time, you should not drive, as there are too many pedestrians on the Silvrettasee circular route. Hikers always have priority.
- Tschagguns - Tilisuna Driving on the Tilisuna goods road is not permitted in the period from 16 September to 15 October.
Road cycling
Road cyclists will find ideal conditions for extended tours and sporting challenges in the Montafon. The Silvretta High Alpine Road, a spectacular panoramic road, is a particular highlight - a must for every ambitious racing cyclist.
