Sports equipment hire at the pleasure hotel Vermala Montafon
The Montafon is a true paradise for e-bikers & mountain bikers, tobogganists, snowshoe hikers and winter hikers. In order to provide our Vermala guests with a special offer, we have various hire options directly at the hotel. You are welcome to book your equipment in advance by e-mail.
E-bike hire in the Montafon
Strap on your helmet and off you go!
During the summer months you can explore our beautiful Montafon with our own 14 e-bikes. It's amazing what distances and metres in altitude can be covered effortlessly in a short time! A bike lock and the e-bike card are available at reception.
For stays of 3 nights or more at Hotel Vermala, 1 day's use of an e-bike is included (with advance reservation at reception & subject to availability). For additional bike days or stays of up to 2 nights, you can rent our e-bikes at a special price of €39 per day.
Mini convertible hire
Whether it's a sporty and dynamic ride along the 34 hairpin bends of the Silvretta High Alpine Road up to the Silvretta Bielerhöhe (2032 m) or a quiet and relaxed cruise through our Montafon - as well as our neighbouring valleys Paznauntal, Brandnertal, Klostertal or on the Arlberg: our Mini Cabriolet makes every trip a real pleasure! Our Mini has a toll card for the Silvretta High Alpine Road.
We charge € 0.50 per km incl. petrol.
With advance notice & subject to availability. If you need to refuel, simply bring the receipt with you and we will offset it.
Hiking poles hire
We have 5 pairs of carbon telescopic walking poles from the Leki brand ready for you (subject to availability). Adjustable in height from 110 to 135 cm and therefore suitable for everyone. They can be folded to 40 cm and fit in any rucksack. In case of loss we ask for your understanding that we have to charge an amount of € 180,-.

Snowshoe hire
8 pairs of Grivel snowshoes are waiting for you. Explore the surroundings on your own or take part in the guided snowshoe hikes from the BergePlus programme. As guests of our hotel, these are free of charge and can be booked at reception.

Toboggan hire in the Montafon
The chrome-plated iron frame and solid ash wood runners make Kathrein toboggans safe, ergonomic, stable and with the best running and steering characteristics: the family business has been manufacturing toboggans of the highest quality since 1886. This makes the Kathrein family one of the oldest toboggan and sledge makers in Austria. Test our Kathrein toboggans on the toboggan runs of the Montafon (with advance booking & subject to availability). In case of loss we ask for your understanding that we unfortunately have to charge an amount of € 265,-.
