Fresh milk, flavoursome cheese, soft wool and aromatic herbs - in the Nova region, everything revolves around regional products and traditional farming crafts. But as well as enjoying these high-quality products, there is also plenty of fun and games to be had. In Alpenwelt Nova in Silvretta Montafon, numerous stations with exciting themes await you, where young and old can learn more about the production of regional products. Playfully get to know cows and sheep, discover the plant world on the alpine pasture and immerse yourself in the culture of the Montafon. As Vermala guests, your children can take part in the supervised all-day children's programme of the BergePLUS offer free of charge. From Monday to Friday you will find a variety of programmes: Slide hike, excursions to the alpaca farm or horse farm, fun games and forest exploration tour, climbing in the forest rope park, and much more. The pushchair-friendly "Vier Barga" theme trail at the Versettal mountain station allows you to experience the cultural landscape with information boards and play opportunities with a regional focus. The Montafon is a cultural landscape that needs to be discovered and preserved. That's why there are numerous information boards and play opportunities related to the region along the Vier Barga walking trail. Afterwards, you can either spend a cosy afternoon at the Nova Stoba or experience even more adventure: Around the restaurant, goats and co. look forward to welcoming guests to Alpenwelt Nova. There's also a mud playground with a sun sail and ball tracks for the kids to let off steam.

With the Montafon Brandnertal Freizeit-WildPass you cover all 21 cable cars in summer operation in the Montafon, Brandnertal, Klostertal, Walgau, Großes Walsertal & Paznaun-Sammnaun regions with 1 mountain railway ticket. In addition, numerous admissions and attractions for the Montafon-Brandnertal region are included - including public transport, 8 museums, 9 outdoor pools, the Silvretta High Alpine Road (toll exemption) and much more! The Freizeit-WildPass is available from 3 days.

Family-friendly promotion: In summer, children under 7 travel for free, but a ticket must be purchased for children aged 3 and over. Children under the age of 20 benefit from a discount of up to 40%.

Numerous stations on the Hochjoch adventure mountain guarantee fun and excitement for the whole family and introduce the young mountaineers of tomorrow to alpine sports in a playful way. You can put your sense of balance to the test on the climbing net between the hiking poles, and budding alpinists can experience the exciting tingling sensation in their stomachs on the ice axe. Finally, your first adventurous vertigo experience awaits you on the bridge between the climbing rocks.

Take your time - time to drive off!

You've hiked all day, enjoyed a delicious meal at the Schafberg Hüsli and your legs are tired? You don't necessarily want to take the railway down to the valley? Then the mountain cart is just the thing for you! Almost like a go-kart, but on three wheels and without a motor, you can ride from the mountain station along the forest tracks for over 6 kilometres down into the valley on Vorarlberg's longest mountain cart route. Safe driving fun is guaranteed.

Children under 140 cm tall can only ride together with an adult.

Themed trails on the Kristberg and in the Silbertal

Silver Trail:

The silver trail on the Kristberg is a 2.7 km long educational trail specially designed for families with children and interested groups. In the midst of beautiful nature, twelve stations, some of which are interactive, convey the fascination of mining to visitors, explained using archaeological methods. Two guided mountain experiences are also on offer: "In the footsteps of Silbi", ideal for families with children, and "Mining in the Montafon - insights over thousands of years using archaeology and its methods", perfect for adults and those interested in culture and history. Both experiences offer an exciting and educational discovery tour around the Silver Trail.

The legend trail from Kristberg to Silbertal makes it easy to experience the mysticism of the Silbertal legends in an understandable and lively way.

The Litzbach adventure trail is a nature experience trail with 11 interactive stations that allow you to explore nature in a playful way. This trail has been specially designed for children and families and offers a pleasant hike even on hot summer days thanks to its course along the Litz.

Our tip for inquisitive families

Immerse yourself in the mysterious world of the miners and experience the fascination of the historic mine with an expert guide. Discover the tough working conditions that miners had to endure in times gone by.

Around 115 metres of the St. Anna gallery are accessible to you. The mine tour lasts around 30 minutes. Guided tours are available for groups of 3 or more people and cost € 10.00 for adults and € 5.00 for children aged 6 to 16. We recommend a sense of adventure, sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the conditions. Protective clothing is provided for each visitor during the tour. Please note that the temperature in the mine is around +8°C.

The mine can be reached on foot in about 50 minutes from the Bartholomäberg baroque church.
